Referral Program Terms

Eligibility

The Essence by Shine referral program is open to registered account holders in good standing who are 18 years of age or older. Employees, contractors, and immediate family members of Essence by Shine are not eligible to participate or earn referral credits.

How It Works

Each registered account receives a unique referral link. When someone you refer ("Referred Customer") follows your link, books an appointment, and completes a qualifying paid service, you may receive a credit toward a future service at Essence by Shine's sole discretion. Credits are issued manually after verification and are not applied automatically.

What Makes a Referral Valid

A referral is considered qualifying only when all of the following conditions are met:

• The Referred Customer is a new, first-time Essence by Shine client with no prior bookings or account history.
• The Referred Customer completes a paid service in full with no outstanding balance, refund request, or chargeback.
• The completed service is eligible for referral credit (see Service Eligibility below).
• The referral is traceable to your unique link through our internal tracking system.
• Essence by Shine has independently verified the referral and approved the credit.

Service Eligibility

Not every service qualifies for referral credit. The following services are excluded and will not, on their own, trigger a credit to the Referrer:

• Lip Flip
• Wellness Shots

However, if a Referred Customer's first visit is a Lip Flip or Wellness Shot and they later return for a service that is eligible for referral credit, the Referrer will be credited at the time of that subsequent qualifying service. The Referred Customer's "first service" for referral purposes is the first eligible service they complete. Essence by Shine reserves the right to update the list of eligible and excluded services at any time, at its sole discretion.

Credits

Referral credits are a courtesy discount applied to a future Essence by Shine service. Credits have no cash value, cannot be exchanged or redeemed for cash, and are non-transferable. Credit amounts are set at Essence by Shine's sole discretion and may vary. Credits not redeemed within 12 months of issuance may expire without notice. Essence by Shine reserves the right to set limits on the number of credits that may be earned or redeemed within any time period.

Prohibited Conduct

The following are strictly prohibited. Violation will result in immediate disqualification, forfeiture of all accumulated credits, and may result in permanent account termination:

• Referring yourself by using a secondary, alternate, or fraudulent account.
• Creating fake, duplicate, or otherwise fraudulent accounts to generate referral credits.
• Automated, scripted, or programmatic use of the referral system in any form.
• Misrepresenting the nature, value, or terms of the referral program to potential customers.
• Any conduct that Essence by Shine determines, in its sole discretion, to be abusive, deceptive, or intended to game or exploit the referral system.

Right to Withhold, Reverse, or Cancel Credits

Essence by Shine reserves the right to withhold, reverse, or permanently cancel any credit at any time, for any reason, including but not limited to:

• Evidence or reasonable suspicion of fraud, abuse, or violation of these terms.
• The Referred Customer requesting a refund, initiating a chargeback, or disputing a charge.
• Technical errors that resulted in a credit being issued incorrectly.
• Any circumstance in which Essence by Shine determines, in its sole discretion, that a credit was earned through conduct inconsistent with the spirit or letter of these terms.

Program Changes and Termination

Essence by Shine reserves the right to modify, suspend, or permanently terminate the referral program at any time and without prior notice. Any changes take effect immediately upon publication. Continued participation in the program after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. Credits earned before program termination will be honored at Essence by Shine's discretion.

No Liability

Essence by Shine is not responsible for referral credits lost or not received due to technical errors, system outages, browser settings, or security incidents beyond our reasonable control. Our maximum liability to any participant under this program is limited to the face value of credits legitimately earned and not yet redeemed. Essence by Shine is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from participation in or inability to participate in the referral program.

Privacy

By participating in the referral program — including by submitting your name, email address, or phone number through a referral link landing page — you acknowledge that this information will be stored and used in accordance with our Privacy Policy. We do not sell this information to third parties. Contact information submitted by visitors who have not yet created an account is used solely to attribute a referral and may be used to follow up about available services.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from participation in the referral program shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in California.
